Publisher’s Note from Dreams Auto Issue 2019
We all have a dream car, or maybe even a few!
In high school and college, a car was more about a means to get around. It really didn’t matter what car your parents or older sibling could pass down to you so long as it worked. In the late 1970s, I drove across the country in an old Vega with no A/C or radio to get to college. At the time, I was just happy to have a car. But as with everything in life, dreams change and horizons expand.
Later on, when it came time for vehicles to carry the kids, we went exploring to Rusnak’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge showroom and got the minivan. Eventually, we also got a few Jeeps for weekend camping trips. But my eye was always on the Jaguar… Elegant. Simple. Understated.
As with any car lover, my personal sights and dreams eventually went into every showroom of brands that Paul Rusnak brought to market. This was years before being in the publishing business. We’d take a drive to Westlake for the BMWs; Arcadia for Mercedes-Benz; and East Pasadena for Volvos.
Of course, there were many personal test drives at the Old Pasadena dealerships. And I’ve always enjoyed bringing my friends to test drive and purchase their own dream cars from Porsche, Maserati, Bentley, Audi and of course, Rolls-Royce. Rusnak even had a Bugatti showroom in the past that was a favorite.
When I look back at all the cars that my friends or I have purchased from Rusnak (yes, I eventually got my dream Jaguar!), I think about what makes them the number one auto dealership in all of Southern California. Why are they, year-after-year, the choice for everyone? I think the key to Rusnak’s success over all these years is simple: customer service.
Customer service by bringing together all of the premier European lines for customers to test, evaluate and purchase. Customer service from the moment you step into a dealership to buy a car, to having it serviced, to going back to the dealership to buy another.
In today’s new world of buying everything online, some think customer service is free shipping or having a good website chatbot experience. It just isn’t the same when it comes to buying luxury, exotic European cars.
The smell of the new interior, how your body molds into the seats, the ease and touch of the instruments, the sound system, power of the engine, the speed, handling and of course, how the car makes you feel alive.
You can’t experience that online. But when you visit Rusnak, you step into a world of premium automobile brands and outstanding customer service. They set a different, higher standard in today’s luxury car buying experience. The Rusnak Standard.
